Happy Liberation Day!

Today, August 15th, is Korea’s Liberation Day!  It’s called 광복절 (Gwangbokjeol), and it celebrates independence from Japan after 35 years of colonial rule.

Korean flags are up all along the main street by Yonsei, and I don’t have class since it’s a national holiday.  Happy independence day, Korea!!

(Happy Independence Day to India, as well!)
